We are delighted to offer this superbly restored, matching-numbers, 1973 Porsche 911 2.4S Coupe.
By 1972 all Porsche six-cylinder engines had a capacity of 2,341cc, with variations in performance. The 911T retained its Solex-Zenith carburettors (in the European markets) with a power output of 130 bhp at 5.600 rpm. The new 911E and 911S were fitted with mechanical fuel injection and at 6,200 rpm, the 911E produced 165 bhp and the 911S produced 190 bhp. The increased performance and torque of the 2.4 911S could really be felt from 5,000 rpm (500 rpm sooner than the 2.2S) and the car now had a top speed of 230km/h (147mph).
Chassis # 911 330 1250 – Production competition date at Porsche Stuttgart: June 1973 and was delivered new via the Italian importer in Verona. Finished in Black / 1010 and Black Leatherette with Corduroy inlays. Optional Equipment: Coloured Windows.
In 2013, chassis #1250 was the subject of a full bare-metal restoration and total mechanical rebuild by the leading restorers of this model type – Early 911S in Wuppertal, Germany. Invoices for the restoration and photographic documentation of the work is on file. Upon completion, the car was imported the UK and supplied by us in 2014, since when we have continued to regularly service and maintain the car in its current superb condition.
The car was last serviced by us in October 2024 and is available immediately, complete with UK road registration and V5c.
