Spa Classic 2016 - Fastest Lap (2:44.570) with the ex-Giorgio Schön 1974 Porsche 3.0 RSR
Following the car's last race at Paul Ricard in October 2015, where it was 6 seconds per lap behind the fastest overall 3.0 RSR, we embarked upon a winter programme of improvements to the car here in our workshop. At Spa Classic, we were delighted to see a big reduction in our lap times, putting this car now 1.7 secs ahead of nine other genuine RSRs in the race.
The car has been developed in our workshop where, following our recent race-engine and gearbox rebuild, we have now made noticeable improvements to chassis and suspension set-up and achieved a considerable reduction to the overall weight of the car.
The car was co-driven by BRDC member Mark Sumpter of Paragon Porsche and Lee Maxted-Page.
We next look forward to running this superb 3.0 RSR at Le Mans Classic in July.
